We commence yet again with another week! And what a Monday it is – keep your eyes and ears open, we’ve got one amazing day to show you!
First up, the Social Psychology class took a little field trip to Duxford Imperial War Museum in order to understand how war can influence social change. The students had lots of interesting things to say and it was the perfect way to kick off our second week!
The Coding class also made some strides perfecting their games and websites, and had a lot of fun doing it too!
We also had a few more of our students experiencing a classic pub lunch today! (For those yet to experience a British lunch, this traditionally includes Fish and Chips) Fully fed and happy, the boys headed back to their afternoon classes.
The evening activities were packed full of diverse events and no child was left un-entertained. First up we had the always popular Birds of Prey – an exhibition of different birds for the students to hold. Crowd favourites included the cute little owl called Simba.
For the calmer students, our activities directors organised a quiet night of cakes, cookies and making friendship bracelets, with a special performance by some of the students.
Perhaps our favourite activity of the programme so far was salsa! We shook our hips like Shakira did and we can’t wait for the next session to show off all our great little dance moves.
Also equally interesting was a walking ghost tour of Cambridge, showing some of our more courageous students the hidden and spooky corners of Cambridge.
And despite the plethora of activities, we still made room for a little spot of punting!
Happy Monday to all and to all a good night!
