Law Mooters Tackle Diminished Responsibility in a Murder Case…

For the past week, the Law Major class has been preparing complex legal arguments for the case of R v Jones (Bridget). The class split up into two teams – the Appellants (Austin, Tanvi, Kiara, Daniel and Katherine) and the Crown Respondents (Kelsey, Ella, Sophia, Brandon and Abbie) – and participated in a lively court case in front of their CamTrad peers and three judges (Claire, Milly and Alan) to determine whether the defence of diminished responsibility should be applied to the original murder conviction. An impressive performance by all, with the Crown Respondents’ submissions ultimately prevailing!
