A Trip to Grantchester Meadows

Students embarked on a historic 3 mile walk through Grantchester Meadows in beautiful sunshine to arrive at the Orchard Tea Garden in Grantchester. Famous for both its wonderful cream teas and the people who have visited the Orchard over the years, including Virginia Woolf, Rupert Brooke, Alan Turing and Stephen Hawking, the Orchard is a quintessentially Cambridge experience! Sunshine, deck chairs, ice-cream and scones were the perfect accompaniment for this afternoon’s trip!
