On Saturday  morning students from International Law, International Relations, Human Rights, Law and Society, Developmental Economics, Politics and Economics took part in a simulation of a high-level expert meeting on migration. The following countries were represented: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom; and the following organisations: the International Organization for Migration, the UN Refugee Agency, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, the EU Commission, the World Bank and UNICEF.

This day was facilitated by a guest speaker, Angelo Martelli, a Lecturer in Diplomacy and Model United Nations at Bocconi University, Milan, and a PhD Candidate at the LSE.

Students had to use knowledge from their classes as well as public speaking skills to negotiate successfully and ultimately present their conclusions!
