Kidneys and Kings, The Stage and The Sage

Hello parents!

It’s been another gloriously sunny day at Peterhouse; fingers crossed the weather keeps it up! The students have settled into their regular routine, and lessons are getting really interesting. Veterinary science majors had a particularly exciting day, as the gloves came on during their exploration of the anatomy of the kidney.

In the afternoon, we were lucky enough to have a talk from Nick Hutchison, a director and actor, who has worked for the BBC, ITV, Royal Shakespeare Company, Royal National Theatre and Shakespeare’s Globe. His highly entertaining talk, Shakespeare from the Page to the Stage, gave the students a wonderful insight into what it was like for actors back in the day, and there was laughter abound in the Peterhouse theatre.

The evening saw a group of students making a trip to the stunningly beautiful King’s College chapel for a classical concert. We also had our first Quiz Night, which was well attended and highly contested – though Activities Director James was left disappointed by how few groups managed to recognise the outline of his beloved Northern Ireland!

Good night!
