CamPrep Arrival Day: Check!

Dear CamPrep Parents,

We are thrilled to report that, despite many flight delays, all of the Cam Preppers we were expecting to arrive today at Peterhouse have done so safely.  The students had a delightful first meal in the historical Peterhouse Hall, took tours of the college, and met with their residential administrators and faculty. The night finished off with a screening of the Italy v. Germany European Championship football game in the theatre, before heading off to bed for a much need night’s rest.

Tomorrow is when the REAL fun begins!  We’ll have our Opening Assembly at 9am, followed directly by introductory Major and Minor classes. After having lunch, the students will compete in the Cambridge Quest, which is a group scavenger hunt that gives the students the opportunity to explore Cambridge and all it has to offer.  The students will end their day partaking in an activity of their choice led by our fabulous Activities Directors.

As a bit of business, please know that the students do have limited access to email through our computer lab, but if you’d like to send a message to them, please feel free to email your message to our program email address (camprep@oxbridgeprograms.com) and we will be sure they receive them in their mailboxes. Likewise, as I’ve mentioned before, if you have a query, please address it to the same email address, and one of our deans will be happy to get back to you.  However, if you have an immediate concern, we are always reachable at our Program Office (which is open 8am to midnight, Cambridge time) at +44 (0)1223 768 881.

Be sure to keep an eye on the blog throughout the month! We will be posting daily updates about program events, and you’ll be sure to be jealous about the fun your kids are having!

Best wishes,

Dorothy Hutcheson, Cambridge Prep Program Director
