The start of class field trips was today…. and to start us off, our students from the Filmmaking Major went to the Fowler Museum at UCLA: a museum dedicated to global arts and cultures. One of their current exhibitions has to do with digital ceramics which have been photographed from different perspectives giving it multiple views. Our students enjoyed looking at the exhibitions and learned a little more of what the digital age can do.
Our Sports Medicine Majors learned how to take blood pressures from people. Professor Ahmed taught them how to successfully do the procedure. They too practiced by walking a flight of stairs and performing it on each other.
The Filmmaking and Advertising Media majors as well as the Entrepreneurialism Minor went to the advertising agency, 72andSunny. They were able to learn about the advertising industry outside of the classroom. They experienced cutting edge advertising and what it means to work in a collaborative space.
