Culture and Cuisine at Rungis

With the simple goal of food shopping for their evening picnic, the culture and cuisine major class embarked on a journey recently into the largest wholesale food market in the world. Students explored the massive produce warehouses, cheese cellars and flower gardens that combine to form Le Marche de Rungis. Because this market has 13,000 daily employees and sees the exchange of over 1.6 million tons of products per year, it is very hard to access without an official permit. Without our teacher, Eve Tribouillet, none of this would have been possible!
