Mice, and now touch screens, have become a daily part of our lives in the way we interact with computers. But what about people who lack the ability to use a mouse or touchscreen? Or situations where these would be impractical or outright dangerous? Professor Pradipta Biswas spoke to our students this evening about a new type of interactive devices that responds to eye gaze movements of users. Dr Pradipta Biswas is a Senior Research Associate at the Engineering Design Centre and a Fellow at Wolfson College of University of Cambridge.
The students were able to take part in a demonstration where they attempted to control a computer simply by looking at it. It was a intriguing insight into where the future of technology may be heading.
